Do you accept insurance?

I am on several insurance panels–these include: Harvard Pilgrim, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Behavioral Health; Maine Community Health Options; Magellan Behavioral Health; Maine Medical Physician Organization.  If your insurance company is not listed, I may qualify as an “out of network” provider with your insurance provider. If this is the case, I can provide you the necessary information required by your provider so you may receive partial reimbursement for my services.

Please contact your insurance provider to find out how behavioral health services are covered by your plan.

What questions should I ask my insurance provider?

Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

What are your fees?

Fees range between $100 – $145 per session.

What can I expect from psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy can have benefits and risks. Since therapy often involves discussing unpleasant aspects of your life, you may experience uncomfortable feelings like sadness, guilt, anger, frustration, loneliness, and helplessness. On the other hand, psychotherapy has also been shown to have benefits for people who go through it. Therapy often leads to better relationships, solutions to specific problems, and significant reductions in feelings of distress. But there are no guarantees of what you will experience.
